Hookah Prices
hookah prices

Are there any good Hookah bars/restaurants in the NY/NJ area?
My friends and I are tired of our usual spots and would like to try other places within our area that serve Hookah. All Suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Hopefully they are reasonably priced if not thats okay too because it'll be a change.
Thanks in advance!
The only one I've been to is Le Souk - I've had dinner there and enjoyed it - didn't take the hookah.

Kapadokya
142 Montague St., Brooklyn (Second Floor)
Between Clinton and Henry Sts., Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. 718-875-2211
This place is fine Turkish dining, great for a date! You'll see the sign and the restaurant on the second level.
Go up the small stairway off the street, the menu is usually posted out front.
Some locals say it's the best Turkish restaurant in NYC! Excellent grilled fare.
Dinner plates run between $12 - 19, and they have appetizers under $10 as well. Vegetarian dishes available.
There's a very small bar in the corner of the room, and the restaurant has a very intimate and romantic
dinner atmosphere. What a place for a rendezvous! Try to arrange a table away from the door in any case.
They offer hookah smoking on the back patio as weather permits, 10 different flavors. $12.95 per hookah.
Genuinely nice waitstaff, excellent hospitality. Leave the kids at home though. Dress up.
This place is a wonderful haven from the NYC bustle, especially during the week after work.
Don't get there too late or you may wait 30 minutes for a table. Get there early for a quiet dinner.
Belly dancers Thursday - Saturday nights. Whisper to your friends about this place!

Le Souk Restaurant
47 Ave B, bet. 3rd and 4th streets, Alphabet City, Manhattan (212) 777-545
From a local: "All other restaraunts must bow to this north African hotspot. The decor is unparalelled, the lighting is entirely from Berber lanterns hung from the ceiling. A belly dancer is usually present on weekends, and the courtyard has a Bedouin tent with argileh setup in fair weather. The food is fantastic, presided over by a Tunisian head chef, but designed to represent all of North Africa. The argileh can be enjoyed inside as well, but it's more of an accompaniment to the food."
Ya Liel Ya Ein
Bay Ridge area, Brooklyn - Any other info is appreciated.
Fairly new, serves Arabic pastries, light mezza, western coffee drinks and argileh/hookah.
Les Babouches Restaraunt
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Any other info is appreciated.
From a local: "Owned by the celebrated Maison Du Couscous, this stylish Moroccan restaurant is new to the area, but the food has already bean featured in Brooklyn newspapers. On weekends and Friday nights a live band and belly dancer is sometimes on hand, and the tagines are said to be fantastic. If you are looking for argileh/hookah, however, you have come to the wrong place. $20 USD will buy you 15 minutes, and thats if you ate there, but then again it doesn't cater only to Arabs."
Can you imagine your hookah YANKED after 15 minutes??? How rude!!
Sahara East
184 1st Ave, at 11th St., (212) 353-9000
Offers long benches, where patrons can drink cups of mint tea with their hookahs in the back garden. ($10 per hookah)
Rico
Between 10th and 11th street on Avenue C, Manhattan
New place - a new incarnation of Sahara East, but more of a club where argileh/hookah is incidental, but it is prominent.
From a local: "By far Rico is my favorite. Recently redone, small and intimate with beautiful hookah stained glass."
$15 per hookah, alcohol/coffee served.

The staff is excellent, more than 50 hookah flavors. Bellydancers perform a few times on the weekends, free wireless internet, many kind of board games, big screen plasmas, DJ booth. Very cozy, nice ambiance, good music and excellent for small, medium or large gatherings. (Prices unknown.)

Prices and Knowledge $180 Since Friedrich Hayek's The Use of Knowledge in Society, much has been written about the role of prices as a means of communicating information. Information economics emphasizes that prices can be sources from which agents infer information, and means by which they transmit information. The growing interest in this area has led to a greater stress on the role of prices, and this book meets the need for a comprehensive survey of the field. Prices and Knowledge analyzes different theoretical approaches to the role of prices in situations of imperfect information. The informational efficiency approach of Grossman and Stiglitz and the bounded rationality theory of Nelson and Simon are shown to be useful, but incomplete, in their consideration of situations of disequilibrium. Esteban Thomsen, by contrast, adopts a market process perspective and develops a modern Austrian approach. He views market activity as a continuing process of change rather than as a fully adjusted state. Because agents are acting in conditions of uncertainty or ignorance, prices are of paramount importance. Disequilibrium prices can become sources of profit opportunities that stimulate entrepreneurial discovery and the exploitation of previously unnoticed opportunities. |

New Washable Hookah Hose
anybody have information on Hookah's?
i need info on sizes and prices, anything will help! Thanks!
(FYI: i know what you smoke in a hookah and stuff like that, im looking at purchasing one for a friend)
The range is extremely vast as far as size, quality and prices. Let me give some suggestions on some really good pipes for a great bargain. Most hookahs you see locally are cheap. Mya's are the Best quality but a little more than cheap Chinese hookahs.
The Nile Package
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=3695&idaffiliate=284
This is a holiday special you can't beat. It has the best hose on the market with it and a Heba Diffuser. Most amazing deal this year. I have bought 2 for friends this year.
A great starting hookah I love and still use regularly is the Mya Bambino
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1485&idaffiliate=284
It's a total powerhouse!
A new on the market that's great is the Econo Mya
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=3515&idaffiliate=284
It has the Superior Quality of Myas, but the stem has a aluminum core vs. brass so it's cheaper with the same great smoke.
One of the most popular hookahs right now is the Mya QT
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1726&idaffiliate=284
It is one of the smoothest smokes and can easily be converted from 1 hose to 2 hose and back!
But if you have a bit of a bigger budget Get the Mya Vortex
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=210&idaffiliate=284
This pipe has been a personal favorite of mine for YEARS!
