How do the no smoking in public area bans affect hookah bars?
Recently in Oregon a no smoking in public areas ban was put in place. Are they going to close all the hookah bars? Or are they exempt from the law? I really need to know cuz i love to go out with friends and smoke a hookah every now and then.
It completely depends on where you are whether your state passes blanket bans. In Ohio, they just passed blanket bans and cigar bars are included in that ban, so I would assume hookah bars are as well.
Smoking bans are anti-American! We are allowing government to control what a private business is allowed to do and what type of atmosphere they must provide. Mississippi also attempted to make it illegal to sell fast food to the obese. The next thing you know, you will not be able to wear deodorant or perfume in public. Where does it stop? Because seriously, I can think of a few things I do not like and I am sure I can find a few people who are with me no matter how ridiculous it is.
Please people, do not sit back and let your government ban private businesses. If a non-smoker doesn't want to sit in a smokey bar, then they can go to a bar that offers a non-smoking environment. And come on parents. If you are against taking your kids into a smoking environment, then be a parent and teach your children about choice instead of anti-American, Communistic philosophy.

So, when i get the biggest smoke, for me at least, it has a lot to do with shisha.
For example, i just smoked nakhla mint, and didn't get a whole lot of smoke (but the flavor was nice)
But with starbuzz, you're gonna get a lot of smoke. Yeah, it costs an arm and a leg, but it's slathered in glycerine to ensure oodles of smoke. Hookahhookah gives me smoke nice smoke as well.
If you want, you can buy some vegetable glycerine to put in your shisha for more clouds. but dont put too much cause i heard it leaves a nice film on your tongue :]
Also, as shisha76 said, make sure you're keeping your hookah clean. Not only can it mess up your flavor like a mofo, but the smoke is gonna be subpar.
And yeah, if you wanna be a noob, burn the crap out of your shisha, burn your lungs inside out, and you'll have TONS of smoke. But i think that's gross.
Also, sometimes it has to do with the quality of your hookah. I dunno if you have a chinese hookah, but that might hinder you slightly. i mean, just because someone has a chinese doesn't mean the smoke or flavor is super changed, but there SURE is a difference. Try MYAs, KMs, MZs or Nours.
And yeah, the hoses have A LOT to do with it. If you have one with a really tight draw, your smoke if affected. Try a razan. (washable)

Thats where i learned everything when i didn't have a freakin clue about a hookah. They're pretty friendly and dont hate just because someone is asking a question that might be considered "noob-ish" ( i mean, everyone's new at one point.. )
